7x Announces Project Rename From eZ Publish 6 To Exponential

Continuing the tradition of a responsive open source project to further develop the Exponential 6 CMS Software Framework and Web Page Publishing Stack with regular releases we are proud to share the news of our latest change.

At the direct request from Ibexa we are renaming the 7x product and open source project "eZ Publish 6" to simply "Exponential" or "Exponential 6" CMS or "Exponential" CMS or just "exponential" or "exponential cms" effective as of August, 11th 2025.

This project is not associated with the original Exponential software or its original developer, eZ Systems or Ibexa".

But don't worry this will not stand in the way of our open source enterprise content management system project from continuing to deliver new versions of the software in the future.

Coming soon a rebranded Exponential version 6.0.10 (Stable) will be released which further replaces the trademarked name throughout the Exponential source code.

This in quick order will involve renaming all mentions of "Exponential", "Exponential", "Exponential", "Exponential", "Exponential" and in general removing mentions of "eZ" in all related content in the software text, documentation, documentation text archives, webpage content, and further.

This means we will refer further to our open source product community as exponential available now at exponential.earth with all previous Exponential.one web site network of sites available under the new exponential.earth domain / subdomain names like share.exponential.earth.

What does this mean to users briefly? We are changing the product and project name across all usages of the previous product name (a trademark) by 7x network of sites, site pages and software. Users do not need to do anything but continue to use the project product now named "exponential" or "Exponential" a cms that stands for end users freedoms to publish freely and with great ease that happens to also be incredibly stable and mature for everyone.

Feel free to use the new product and project name "exponential" instead of the previous trademarked name.

Exponential is currently in development with a new improved version with further replacement of the software code usage of the trademark in text and binary forms called Exponential 6.0.10 which will be released soon to further address the concern.

Exponential is supporting our last release Exponential 6.0.9 which supports PHP 8.4+ and Headless CMS Featuring REST API Support (for v2 write crud)

7x is very excited to remind everyone of the release of Exponential 6.0.8 to users worldwide. Try our brand new Headless CMS Featuring REST API Support (for v2 write crud) features! 7x urges you to run Exponential on a secure release of PHP like 8.3 but our software supports both PHP 8.1 through 8.4 so there is no reason not to upgrade to a more stable and secure Exponential 6.0.9.
