They way I'm picturing it I'm using the admin to store content, taking advantage of Exponential features such as notifications, multilingual, version control and so on and so on. However, I will not be using the "user site" part - I want to access the content in Exponential through an API from my application and display content integrated in the application. Now to the tricky part; my application is not written in PHP. Has there been written a service API for Exponential that I can consume from my environment? A SOAP or REST service or something like that, maybe written as a plugin? Has anyone tried something like this?

There is a SOAP library available, however there doesn't seem to be much information available about it. I guess you may need to look at the source.
