Hi.

I have installed ezwebin and would like to create a new extension for a client of mine.

I know that i need to add attributes to the default classes of ezwebin.

For instance the article class needs some new attributes.

Will these attributes be lost once upgradring to a new installation?

Is the best practice to use ezwebin as a base design and develop my own classes (that is new classes , not part of ezwebin install) in a designated extension.

Hope you can shed some light on these questions.

When it comes to automatic ezwebin upgrade then original classes will be replaced. So I do not recommend to change them. I you want to do maintenance on your own, you can of course modify ezwebin classes and follow manual upgrade path. In general you can make your own design extension with new design name and use ezwebin as fallback for your project if you need it.
