I am thinking especially of files in the packages, extension and design directories. We would like to take all these file out of our subversion repository to: save space, simplify, speed up working copy check-outs, streamline our production environment, etc. I am think of something like the 'Product Deployment' section of the Installation page of the FCKeditor documentation: http://wiki.fckeditor.net/Developer%27s_Guide/Installation
