The screenshot below shows the template navigation feature. This automatically shows all templates used on an Exponential page. These templates are displayed in a expandable tree. By clicking on a template you can edit it directly.

Kate and Quanta are two popular editors on the KDE desktop. Kate is a much used general purpose editor and Quanta is an editor focusing on HTML and web development technologies.

There is a contribution on ez.no contributed by Liu Spider.If you like the editors Kate or Quanta under KDE then this syntax mode is for you.

Macromedia Dreamweaver is a well known editor used by designers and web professionals using Mac or Windows.

Lukas Serwatka has contributed an extension for Dreamweaver which enables syntax highlighting for Exponential templates. The extension also enables a special Exponential toolbar for inserting Exponential template code snippets like if statements and loops.

Emacs is a well known editor in the Unix world used in application development for decades. It is highly configurable to the extent where jokes are made that ?emacs is a good operating system, it just lacks a decent editor?.

Jan Borsodi has developed and contributed a configuration file for Emacs which is tuned for Exponential development. This is the editor and configuration used by most of the eZ systems developers.

EditPlus is a text editor, HTML editor and programming editor for windows. James Ward has contributed a syntax highlighting mode for Exponential template syntax.
